Greater London

London - the UK's biggest matchday economy

From Wembley to north, west and south London football, the capital has more elite stadium hours than any other city in the UK - and a constant appetite for casual matchday and event staff.

London is unique. No other UK city has six Premier League clubs in the 2026/27 season (Arsenal, Brentford, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur), plus Wembley, Twickenham, the London Stadium and dozens of smaller grounds. On any given autumn weekend, more than 350,000 matchday seats turn over in Greater London alone - and that’s before you count concerts, NFL games and rugby internationals.

That sheer volume creates two things: a constant pipeline of matchday and event roles in catering, hospitality, stewarding and cleaning, and a fragmented hiring market with dozens of competing operators. The rates are usually higher than the rest of the country (London weighting is real), but so is the cost of getting to and from the ground.

Premier League grounds in London (2026/27)

National and major event venues

  • Wembley Stadium – the home of the FA Cup Final, England men’s & women’s, NFL London games and a steady year of stadium concerts.
  • Twickenham Stadium – the home of England rugby and a 82,000-seat venue.
  • London Stadium – West Ham’s home, UK Athletics’ major London venue and a major events site at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Who actually hires

Most matchday roles in London are run by:

  • Levy UK (part of Compass Group) – Wembley, Tottenham, Twickenham hospitality.
  • Legends/ASM Global – Stamford Bridge catering (from 2025/26), OVO Arena Wembley and Olympia.
  • Delaware North UK – Emirates Stadium catering.
  • Aramark UK – select hospitality contracts.
  • OCS Group – cleaning and integrated FM at multiple London venues.
  • Showsec – event security and stewarding at Wembley, the O2 and major venues.

If you live in London and want to work in a stadium most weekends through the season, your fastest route in is usually one of these operators – not the football club itself.
