Stamford Bridge is one of the oldest senior football grounds in England (Chelsea were formed in 1905 specifically to play at the existing Stamford Bridge ground). The current 40,000-seat configuration is small by modern Premier League standards, which has led to a consistent stream of plans – never executed – to expand or rebuild on the site.
What happens here
- Chelsea FC Premier League and European home matches.
- Chelsea Women’s selected WSL and Champions League matches.
- Year-round corporate events and the Chelsea Megastore + Stadium Tour experience.
- Two on-site hotels make it a 7-day-a-week venue for hospitality work.
Who runs hospitality and catering
Legends/ASM Global runs catering and premium hospitality at Stamford Bridge and Kingsmeadow under a multi-year partnership that began with the 2025/26 season. It took over from Levy UK, whose 20-year contract with Chelsea ended in summer 2025.
What’s it like to work here
Compared to the bigger London grounds, Stamford Bridge has fewer total matchday seats but a proportionally larger premium and hospitality offer – which means a higher share of the casual roles are in fine dining, executive boxes and lounge service rather than kiosks and concourses. It’s a strong city for staff who already have hospitality experience and want to step up.
Other operators
- OCS Group – cleaning and FM.
