Bar Staff – Villa Park
Villa Park bar staff role guide covering Levy/Constellation application routes, matchday duties, pay checks and what to confirm...
Birmingham is the UK’s second-biggest city, and its stadium economy reflects that. The combination of Premier League football at Villa Park, Championship football at St Andrew’s @ Knighthead Park, and Test cricket at Edgbaston means there’s a serious volume of hours available for casual staff most weekends from April to October.
Grounds in this city
- Villa Park – Aston Villa’s 42,000-capacity home, with major expansion plans to push capacity above 50,000.
- St Andrew’s @ Knighthead Park – Birmingham City’s home ground.
- Edgbaston Cricket Ground – Warwickshire CCC and host of Test matches and The Hundred.
Who hires here
- Levy UK – premium hospitality at Villa Park and Edgbaston.
- Sodexo Live! – catering at multiple Birmingham venues.
- OCS Group – cleaning and integrated FM.
- Showsec – stewarding at Villa Park, the NEC and Utilita Arena.
Why work here
Villa Park’s planned expansion and Aston Villa’s regular European football mean midweek shifts are increasingly common in Birmingham – great if you want to top up regular part-time work without giving up your weekends.
How to choose a Birmingham route
Start with the venue, then check the operator. Villa Park hospitality and bar roles commonly appear through Levy’s casual staffing brand Constellation, and live Constellation listings for Aston Villa include bar, kiosk, chef, hospitality manager and back-of-house roles. Edgbaston also recruits hospitality and catering staff through Constellation for conferences, celebrations and winter events, so the same staffing account can sometimes unlock cricket-ground work as well as football.
St Andrew’s and arena work use different routes, so do not rely on one club careers page for the whole city. If you want alcohol-service bar work, check the advert’s age rule before applying. If you want more predictable weekend work, football and cricket seasons overlap in spring and late summer. If you want extra midweek hours, Villa Park’s European nights, Edgbaston conferences and the NEC/arena calendar are the better places to watch.
