Emirates Old Trafford hosts international cricket, The Hundred, concerts and corporate hospitality across the summer. Sodexo’s kitchen brigade scales up for five-day Tests and short-form double-headers alike — a different rhythm from football matchdays but still major-event catering at scale.
What the role involves
- Prep and production on hot and cold lines for hospitality and public catering.
- Working to event briefs for cricket formats, concerts and private hires.
- Food-hygiene and HACCP compliance in a large stadium kitchen.
- Clean-down and handover after the last session or concert set.
Who usually gets hired
- Commis, CDP or kitchen porter experience looking to step into casual chef shifts.
- 18+; catering or NVQ background helps.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Available for summer peaks, evening T20 fixtures and concert load-ins.
Pay and calendar
- £15.90/hour on Sodexo’s casual chef contract.
- Hours cluster April–September with international and concert spikes.
- Old Trafford football catering is Aramark/Levy territory — do not apply here expecting MUFC matchday shifts.
