How We Research Stadium Jobs

How we decide what to publish, what we check, and what visitors should verify with the employer.

Our aim

Stadium Jobs exists to make UK matchday hiring easier to understand. Most stadium work is not hired by the football club itself. It is usually hired by catering, hospitality, stewarding, cleaning and facilities operators working inside the venue.

Our pages are written to answer practical applicant questions:

  • who usually hires for this work;
  • which stadium or city the work is tied to;
  • what the role involves on a matchday;
  • which licences, documents or age requirements may apply;
  • which details should be checked before applying.

Role profiles vs direct vacancies

We use two different page types.

Role profiles explain a type of stadium work at a specific venue or city. They are useful when the hiring pattern is stable but a direct operator vacancy link is not currently available. A role profile should not be treated as a promise that a vacancy is open today.

Direct vacancies link to an operator, venue or employer application page. When a direct route is available, the job page says so and sends you away from Stadium Jobs to apply with the employer.

Sources we use

We use a mix of public and editorial sources, including:

  • official venue and operator careers pages;
  • employer press releases and contract announcements;
  • public job adverts from the operator or venue;
  • stadium fixture and event calendars;
  • official licensing and right-to-work guidance;
  • direct corrections sent to us by applicants, employers or venue teams.

We do not copy whole job adverts from other sites. We summarise the practical information applicants need and point people back to the operator for the current application process.

What we ask visitors to verify

Before applying or accepting a shift, always confirm these details with the employer:

  • whether the vacancy is still open;
  • the exact hourly rate and any holiday-pay treatment;
  • whether training time is paid;
  • which company will employ and pay you;
  • the expected finish time and travel options after the event;
  • whether you need an SIA licence, right-to-work share code, proof of age or previous experience.

Corrections

Stadium contracts change, especially between seasons. If a role page is wrong, stale or missing important context, email stadiumjobsuk@gmail.com with the page URL and the correction.

We aim to review corrections within two working days.
