Open vacancy. OCS Group is hiring casual event-day cleaners for Hampden Park. Apply on the OCS careers portal — national stadium / SFA pages will not process this FM contractor role.
Cleaning is one of the most misunderstood stadium jobs: most paid hours sit after the crowd leaves, not during the match. Teams reset concourses, seating bowls and washrooms so the venue is ready for the next event.
What the role involves
- Post-event litter picking and concourse clean-down.
- Seating bowl and washroom resets on a timed schedule.
- Occasional during-event mobile cleaning on larger fixtures.
- Deep-clean support on non-event weekdays for some contracts.
Who usually gets hired
- 18+ preferred for late finishes; check the live advert for 16+ options.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Physically able to work on your feet for 4–6 hours, including stairs.
- Available for late evening call times after internationals and concerts.
Pay and shift pattern
- Band £12.21–£12.50/hour.
- Typical post-event window 4–6 hours starting after egress.
- Hampden’s calendar is event-driven (internationals, cup finals, concerts) rather than weekly club football — hours cluster around those dates.
Stadium Jobs tip
If you need weekly Saturday hours, a club ground (Celtic Park / Ibrox cleaning banks) may suit better. Hampden suits people who want intense event blocks with quieter gaps between — ask OCS how many events are already confirmed for the next 90 days when you apply.
